LIBA conducted its annual B-school fest Chrysalis ’14 recently.

LIBA conducted its annual B-school fest Chrysalis ’14 recently. Plenty of college students and corporates from various parts of the country participated in the two-day gala. This event, which had both management and cultural events, encouraged participation and enthusiasm from students of diverse education backgrounds and interests. This year, Chrysalis had a football theme, since this is the year of the Football World Cup.

Chrysalis ’14 was given the tagline ‘Score the Golden Goal’ – thereby throwing an open challenge to passionate students and corporates alike to make their mark and win events lined up for the cultural event.

G V Ramakrishna, exChairman of SEBI inaugurated the fest and released the annual souvenir Trinity.

The events conducted as a part of Chrysalis included management events like Calcio E Personal (HR), Whizkids (Entrepreneurship), Arena of Gods (Marketing), GoalSeek (Finance), Brazuca (Operations), CHIP (Systems) and the flagship event of Chrysalis – The Best Manager competition.

The much awaited ExQuizite, the quiz competition that brought registrations from students and corporates alike was a crowd catcher. ExQuizite, hosted by Rohit Nair of QuizWorks, witnessed a rush of adrenaline like never before. A team from Tata Consultancy Services bagged the first prize of `40,000 (TCS). The main cultural programmes – BandSlam and Burn the Floor were also received well with plenty of fervour and energy.

Non-management events included Quad Quarrel, which was based on an adaptation from a famous American TV Show, AdZap, Crime Scene Investigation, Debate and Dumb Charades.

Granted, by the sheer range of all the competitions conducted, these two days won’t be forgotten for a while.
