Where Beauty and Talent Find a Common Ground

CHENNAI: It was a showcase of talent and beauty at the audition round of ‘Miss n Mrs Chennai Gujarati’ - Season 2 and ‘Prince n Princess Chennai Gujarati’ at DG Vaishnav college auditorium recently.

Beauty and Talent.jpgTaking a break from the usual fashion shows, the audition was about a splendid walk and flaunt of the aesthetics on-stage. At the auditions, the contestants were being judged in different categories. There was an opportunity for tiny tots, who also took part in the competition, vying for the title ‘Prince and Princess Chennai Gujarati’. The audience was in for a surprise in every part as there was a nonchalant showcase of  unique and inspiring talents.

The jury comprised  Manoj, owner of Artrobe Dance Studio and a well-known fashion choreographer and Kareena, a professional fashion designer.  These judges indeed had a Herculean task ahead of them as they had to choose from 33 young and talented princesses, and 10 charming and intelligent princes, who were then shortlisted for the finals. The Miss and Mrs category had 18 finalists each. Emcees for the event were Krushita Hindocha and Rudresh Dave, who kept the audiences completely engaged. The finals will take place on July 19 at Sir Venkata Subbarao Memorial Hall, Chetpet, where professionals in the areas of beauty and fashion will judge the performances. Those wanting to witness the gala event can grab their entry passes from Essensuals Toni & Guy on Manickeswari Road, Kilpauk. The organiser of the event, is Niyati Chandarana and her team — Bindu Shah, Jatin Davey, Pritesh Shah and Nikita A Davey.
