CHENNAI: The best way to lead a successful life, is to keep your mind on service, said Minister of State for Finance Jayant Sinha to the 1050 graduates of Meenakshi College for Women who had their convocation on Friday. “The way to be successful is to set your sight on service to our jobs, families and country. For women like you, it is a profound moment in India’s history with never before seen opportunities,” he said. According to him, the way to be effective while doing service depends on three things — competence, courage and compassion. “It is only when you have all three that you can serve properly and only if you serve, you can be successful,” he said. Friday saw 890 undergraduates and 160 post graduates receive their degree certificates from the Minister. K S Babai, secretary of the Meenakshi Sundararajan Engineering College and K S Lakshmi, secretary of Meenakshi College for Women were present.
