And they Adorn

CHENNAI: ‘White Coat Ceremony 2015’ of MBBS and BDS Students was held at the M M Convention Centre on Saveetha Dental College Campus in Poonamallee recently. The ceremony is an important milestone in the lives of first-year MBBS and BDS students, who begin a new chapter in their journey of lifelong learning.

Dr Gita Arjun, director of EV Kalyani Medical Foundation, and Dr Sekhar Chennupati, founder and managing director of Denty’s Clinics presided as chief guests.

Dr N M Veeraiyan, chancellor of Saveetha University, distributed white coats to the students.

In his presidential address, the chancellor highlighted the growth of Saveetha University over the decade. In her speech, Dr Saveetha Rajesh, director, Saveetha Medical College, spoke about the commitments of the medical profession.

In is speech, Dr Deepak Nallasamy, university director of academics, highlighted the growth of Saveetha Dental College over 27 years. Vice-Chancellor Dr R Rajagopal and registrar Dr D Prabhavathy were also present. Saveetha Medical College dean, Dr T Gunasagaran welcomed the gathering and Dental College dean Dr N D Jayakumar proposed a vote of thanks.
