Queer Film Festival Comes to Town

CHENNAI: ‘Reel Desires’ Chennai’s International Queer Film Festival  2015 will be conducted from July 24 to 26 at the Goethe Institut organised by the institute along with Orinam, a local collective which works on LGBT issues.

The three-day series of feature films, shorts and documentaries, will showcase issues plaguing sexuality and gender diversity.

This is done with the aim to mainstream people’s awareness of queer group issues,  creating better environments in families and communities.

The highlight of the festival is the screening of Pride, the highly-acclaimed 2014 British LGBT historic film. Other highlights include the screening of Nacthelle, Purple Skies and Papilio Buddha.
