Six Districts in TN Gear up for Army Recruitment Rally on September 4

Chennai will be one of the seven districts where the first online-application based Army recruitment rally will be held from September 4.

CHENNAI: Chennai will be one of the seven districts where the first online-application based Army recruitment rally will be held from September 4.

A Defence Ministry release stated that the first online application based rally for Tamil Nadu will be held for districts of Chennai, Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Vellore, Cuddalore, Villupuram and Tiruvannamalai. The rally will also be held in Puducherry from 4 September 2015.

Interestingly, Indian army has launched an online mobile application to help aspiring candidates clarify their queries regarding army recruitment. Known as ‘Army Calling’, the application provides live chat facility in vernacular language and can be downloaded from Google Play Store.

For online applications, candidates should carry Matriculation certificate and personal details, including permanent address, verification or domicile certificate and personal mobile number. For further details visit the website of Directorate General Recruiting, www.joinindianarmy.nic.in
