CHENNAI: Bharath University recently inaugurated the Faculty of Arts and Science, instituting 14 undergraduate and 13 postgraduate programs including MPhil in the areas Science, Arts and Humanities. Over 460 students have been admitted in the various courses of Arts and Science under this faculty. Inaugurating the Faculty of Arts and Science, M Ponnavaikko, vice-chancellor, Bharath University, said, “Most students have been preferring engineering and medical professional courses till recently. But now the trend is changing. The demand is increasing for the course in Science, Arts and Humanities.”
