Unveiling Bliss-ful of Lights and Glam

CHENNAI: Did you know that if households switch to LED lights for the next three or four years, carbon dioxide emissions would reduce by 60 million tonnes each year? Harshit Parmar and Dinesh, who were individual LED distributers, have come together to create Bliss, a lighting brand. They said that their inspiration rose form the fact that could bring in alternate lighting in the country.

Taapsee was the star of the night at the launch of the brand at Hyaat Regency recently. Not only did she come early, but also interacted with the people and clicked groupies with them. She unveiled the logo of Bliss, near the LED backdrop that then led to an unique fashion show, choreographed by actress Priya Mani.

Not much of a fashion show, but a show of lights, the first sequence had models in white garments holding white LED lights. They walked through the audience, which mostly consisted of traders, family and friends of the owners.  The second sequence was a burst of multicolours almost making one trippy just by looking at them.

Talking about LED and film industry, Taapsee said, “I am happy to be associated with this brand. Light is very important in one’s life and in the film industry, it is equally important as it enhances the mood, the setting and we actors tend to look brighter during the shoot too,”

Lights and glam weren’t the only highlight of the evening. There was food, which was purely vegetarian (it was a Marwari crowd) and a game of Antakshri, both in Tamil and Hindi. Taapsee sang Tum paas aaye from the movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. How often do you find a South Indian actress sing a Hindi song at a public event? Obviously, she received a huge applause.

Bliss offers lighting for both indoor and outdoor spaces including houses, hotels, offices, showrooms and open-air auditoriums. Visually appealing like the show of lights at the event, the products, they also revolve around high quality and intelligent lighting for beautifully-lit spaces.

Bliss is located at, No 17, Krishna Iyer Street, Chennai – 17. For details contact 9833413747
