Subsequently, the court on Tuesday directed issuance of notice to the Registrar.

The showcause notice dated June 16, issued by the Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCS), Chennai Central, alleged that the memorandum and the by-laws of the organisation was in violation of the Societies Registration Act. It further alleged that there was also a difference in its balance sheet and the submissions made under FCRA When the petition came up for hearing on Tuesday, the NGO contended that they sought clarifications on the notice but it was not replied to, compelling it to move the court. Admitting the petition, the judge directed notice to the Registrar of Societies and posted the matter to August 10.
