We are aware that Indian music is spiritually oriented, and is a form of bhakthi dhyana that helps inculcate spirituality, concentration and memory power. The emphasis of the music is on seven fundamental notes (saptha swaras) — sa-ri ga ma pa da-ni.

To realise the divine power in self, during the music class, both the guru and student sit on the ground with both legs folded.

The noted drug-less therapy specialist has won several awards. She opted for voluntary retirement  to practice alternative medicine after 34 years of teaching and research. The doctor now combines spiritual healing with acupuncture, especially sujok acupuncture, with magneto therapy .

Stressing the importance of music, Lalitha, who has authored many books, says candidly, “Teaching music at a  tender age has several advantages. A child is born with all the chakras, but it is the mooladhara chakra, which starts functioning even before the birth. As the child grows, the other six chakras start functioning, from mooladhara to sahasrara chakra, and in 21 years, the development process is complete. So teaching music at a young age purifies the body, mind and soul and lays the foundation for a healthy future.”

Music is also one form of meditation which enhances the power of chakras by raising kundalini shakthi, says the  doctor. As we all know, a raga is built through the combination and interrelation of the basic seven notes. It is proved that music can be a cure if the singer or listener chooses the raga based on the chakras  he or she wants to concentrate on. What is the efficacy of the combination of reiki, crystal therapy and sujok acupuncture?

Doctor  says that the realisation of divine power in self is the primary step in healing,  and hand is the only tool for healing. Quartz crystals have the power of creating healing energy and destroying negative force. They have the capacity to receive cosmic energy, store, concentrate and amplify the same and release the energy as healing energy. This  cures all diseases including psychiatric problems.

Dr Lalitha says that the demand for drug less therapy is increasing nowadays. The objective of combination is to make the treatment cost effective, and facilitate recovery in short period. If the combination of reiki -crystal therapy and acupressure is employed together with music therapy, I can assure full recovery, asserts the affable doctor, whose only interest is to make people opt for a treatment that is without drugs, side effects, cost effective and fast.

Dr P S Lalitha is also conducting free healing camps to help under privileged on a regular basis . She can be contacted through the website www.pslalitha.com and on mobile at 9840044198.
