Cyclone Vardah: Here are the areas where power was restored

As per the latest TNSDMA information till 8: 50 pm tonight, power has been partly restored in as many as 36 areas of across the city.

A day after cyclone Vardah hit Chennai and two neighbouring districts --Tiruvallur and Kancheepuram, Chennai residents woke up to a 'powerless' Tuesday with electricity supply still being restored in most parts here. Mobile network coverage also was intermittent, with most of the cellphone towers not functioning.

As per Tamil Nadu State Disaster Management Agency (TNSDMA), here are the latest updates on the state of power supply throughout the Cyclone-affected areas:
