CHENNAI: Seed school in Adyar and Vael’s Billabong High Kangaroo Kids, Neelankarai, claim the top spot in the list of the city’s best playschools, as ranked by EducationWorld in its seventh annual preschool rankings, which evaluate 410 preschools in 16 cities including Mumbai and Delhi.
Among the schools ranked under two categories — standalone proprietary and franchised — were also Kangaroo Kids in Velachery (franchised) and Vruksha Montessori in Alwarpet (proprietary) in second place, Podar Jumbo Kids in Thoraipakkam (franchised) and Indus Early Learning Centre in Besant Avenue (proprietary) in third place.
They were followed by SEED School in Saligramam and Sprouts Montessori in Mylapore, Kidzee in Anna Nagar and KiwiLearners in Neelankarai, Podar Jumbo Kids in Perumbakkam and Bamboola in Raja Annamalaipuram, SEED School in Chrompet and aLphabet in Alwarpet, Maple Bear Canadian Preschool in Velachery and SEED Academy in Kottivakkam, VVM-Little Millennium in Anna Nagar and Amelio Early Learning Centre in Shollinganallur, T.I.M.E. Kids in Alwarpet and Learning Tree in Adyar along with Alacris Preschool in Adyar. Schools were ranked on parameters like infrastructure, faculty, attention to students and value for money.
