CHENNAI: Ahead of the DMDK’s ‘Political Turning Point Conference’ at Kancheepuram on Saturday, People Welfare Alliance (PWA) leaders, who are hoping for an alliance with Vijayakanth, wished success for the meet, saying it would usher in a bright future for the State.
In a joint statement on Friday, PWA Coordinator and MDMK General Secretary Vaiko, CPM State secretary G Ramakrishnan, CPI leader Mutharasan and VCK chief Thol. Thirumavalavan said that the conference was being convened at a crucial time. Vijayakanth was aware that the people of Tamil Nadu people are awaiting the rise of a political force, the statement added.
“We, on behalf of the PWA, are confident that the ‘Political Turning Point Conference’ will emerge as a conference for the bright future of Tamil Nadu,” they said. The four leaders also thanked the DMDK for extending them an invite for the conference.
