Trivandrum Mail derails

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chennai-Trivandrum mail  (number 12623) was derailed at Pattabhiram station near Avadi following a collision with a suburban EMU coming in the same direction. One person travelling in mail and 7 in EMU were injured.

The injuries are said to be minor. "The  incident happened around 8.15 pm and the exact reasons would be known only later." said

V.C.Sudeesh, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Trivandrum Division, who was on a meeting in Chennai.
