CHENNAI: Did an aghori visit the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Temple at T Nagar on Friday?
The video of a naked godman offering prayers at the temple and the closure of the temple on Saturday’s morning hours kept the rumour mills running on most part of the day.

Shakthivasan, an advocate, identified the naked man in the video as Mehet Raman Giri Naga Baba, a mutual friend of his, whom he took to the temple on Friday.

“He is a Naga Baba, not an aghori, and he just wanted to worship god like you and me. The temple cannot discriminate against him. If they didn’t allow naked worshippers, they should have stopped him yesterday,” said Shakthivasan.
