Another Molotov attack in city

CHENNAI: Two days after three Molotov cocktails were hurled at the Teynampet police station, a similar incident was reported at Peerkankaranai where a petrol bomb was hurled at a former DMK councillor’s office on Saturday.

Police said that on Saturday morning, four men who came on two motorbikes hurled petrol bombs at former DMK councillor Issaac Raj’s office situated at Bharathi Nagar, New Perungalathur.  Police suspect the bombs were hurled as Issaac had refused to lend `2,000 to one of his known persons -  Jebasekar, who had asked for money for his mother’s treatment.

The men had apparently thrown one petrol bomb which broke the glass door of the office and blasted at the office.
Based on complaint, police arrested four persons - A Jebasekar, 35, and his associates S Pandiyan, 21, Boochi alias Manikandan and Sathish aka Half Bil Sathish, all from New Perungalathur.
