CHENNAI: In a bid to formulate a roadmap for the real estate sector in Tamil Nadu, Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI), Tamil Nadu will be organising ‘CREDAI STATECON 2018’ on July 20. The two-day event is likely to be inaugurated by O Paneerselvam, Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu S Krishnan, housing secretary, Rajesh Lakhoni, member secretary, Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority, Beela Rajesh, Commissioner of Town and Country, and Shiva Reddy, vice president of CREDAI national, are also likely to take part.

The event will also have eminent speakers from various parts of the country which include Josh Foulger, country head and managing director, Foxconn, Lakshmi Narayanan, vice chairman, Cognizant Technology Solutions. The conference will be a mix of presentations and discussions that will enable the fraternity to draw the valuable conclusion to develop Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities in Tamil Nadu. The realty sector in the state has been hit due to the implementation of the Real Estate Regulation Act and Goods and Service Tax. This year STATECON will focus on various topics including ‘Brand Tamil Nadu in the Real Estate Sector — Making Tamil Nadu an Investing Destination’; ’Emerging Technologies and Construction etc.
