CHENNAI: In our pride of scientific achievement, we have forgotten the laws of the universe which we transgress only at our peril. Over a 100 years ago, Henry David Thoreau noted the link between mental and physical environment. He noted, “The mass of men leads lives of quiet desperation.” We are mortal, it is thought. However the fact is that we are not mortal after all because in reality we are souls, non-material units of consciousness, and our bodies are simple temporary earthenware costumes.
But as we proceeded through the play of time, adopting one material puppet after another, we lost our understanding. The puppet hypnotised the puppeteer. We became attracted physically to other bodies and our minds became polluted with body consciousness.
Once God was discarded and truth defamed, universal ethics replaced by relativism and perfection immolated as a personal ideal, the human family was hopelessly broken into shards of selfishness. With the fall from soul-consciousness, we fell, through the trap door of history and now we have reached rock bottom. Yet, even in this darkest hour, secret forces are at work to help us salvage from this situation. Powerful of all are channeling the energy of purity into the material world.
Man is now incredibly close to the greatest changes ever witnessed. To witness these changes with the safety of understanding means we must question many of our accepted theories and be prepared to accept that which seems to provide clarity. Through Rajyoga, through unique knowledge and union with the Supreme, the ego is transcended and we reach the peak of our own long latent powers of love, purity, light and might.
In the same way that the forces of good and evil become fully polarised, similarly, the metaphysical, the consciousness of man, is about to be separated from its physical surrounds for a brief period of change and renewal. By changing our own mental environment, we shall change the face of the earth which in turn shall give birth to a new society, technologically advanced, yet also completely and divinely virtuous; a paradise of endless happiness. We have arrived at the end, which is the new beginning. All we need to do now is become pure and walk on the path of planetary transformation. Are you ready?
