Three held for hurling bombs at petrol bunk owner’s house in Chennai

CHENNAI: The Chennai police arrested three men for hurling kerosene bombs at the house of a petrol bunk owner on Monday.

Sundar (32) was talking to his mother in front of his house in Elango Nagar in Virugambakkam when two kerosene bombs were hurled at his house, as a revenge for the complaint that Sundar had filed against the suspects.

Police said, “After the incident, Sundar lodged a complaint with the Koyambedu police with evidences from the CCTV footages and we nabbed one on Tuesday and the other two on Wednesday.”

The accused were identified as S Vinodh (25), R Karthik (24) and L Prabhu (26). Karthik and Prabhu are already facing charges of stealing mobile phones from Sundar’s petrol bunk. The trio were arrested and remanded in judicial custody.
