CHENNAI: The organisational set up in DMK headquarters is likely to be subjected to a major overhauling as the party working president MK Stalin has detected certain alleged irregularities.

Two senior leaders looking after the affairs of the headquarters and a top leader are expected to be pulled up for their activities displeasing Stalin, informed sources said adding that he had recently detected some irregularities being committed under his nose.

“The irregularities came to light recently. Two headquarters office-bearers are believed to have committed wrongdoings with the blessings of a top leader who is calling the shots in the party organisation,” said a senior DMK functionary. He said the axe will fall on the three soon. In fact, the irregularities came as a shocker to  Stalin.

One irregularity related to the printing of the party’s membership cards, it is alleged. The sources said the functional heads at the headquarters concerned had allegedly siphoned off a huge sum. An internal enquiry was also held in the matter.

Meanwhile, Stalin is stated to be dilly-dallying with the idea of appointing zonal heads to the party for better coordination and macro-management.
