It is time to reminisce. The Madras Christian College is hosting its Global Alumni Meet 2013 on July 27 and 28 – a mega reunion party that is sure to bring some nostalgic memories for every student who passed out of the institution.

The Alumni Association of the college, the oldest in India, has organised the event on the occasion of the college having celebrated its 125th year the previous year.

“This was like a dream!  We could only imagine bringing so many people from across the world and across batches back to college to take a walk down that same lane they once walked before. A lot has been planned for these two days. It wouldn’t be just people meeting, but truly a time of fellowship with one another literally visiting the old days,” said KM Mammen, president, MCC Alumni Association”

The guests for this meet are Leela K Ponappa, former Deputy National Security Advisor, Jacob Mathew, Executive Editor of Malayala Manorama and actor, director and writer Prathap Pothen among others.

Pothen will also be formally inaugurating the Global Reunion. The highlight of the day would be an interactive session with Prakash Karat, CPM general secretary, in the hot seat.

Apart from this, a photo exhibition on the institution will showcase the old days with dancers, sports-lovers and musicians portraying the transformation of the college over the years. There will also be a tennis-ball cricket match organised to help past students relive their years with the institution.

To be a part of this mega reunion, registration for the Global Alumni Reunion 2013 can be done online through the college website http://www.mcc.edu.in/GlobalAlumniReunion/. Registration fee is Rs 2,000 per head.
