NEW DELHI: Former West Delhi MP  Mahabal Mishra along with Congress workers inaugurated a flyover from Vikaspuri to Meerabagh in Delhi on Saturday even as Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had announced to inaugurate it on Sunday

Mishra alleged Congress party has allotted funds for the construction of said flyover.

But AAP government issued a statement that Kejriwal to inaugurate the flyover. "Public Works Department invites the inauguration of 3.4 km elevated road from Vikaspuri to Meerabagh on the Outer Ring Road by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday," AAP government issued a statement.

Interesting, the Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is the chief guest on the occasion.

But Congress former MP alleged that

Ajay Maken, President Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee,  on July 11, 2016 presented RTI reports and other incriminating documents against the Kejriwal government, showing how the flyover from Vikaspuri to Meerabagh was tendered for Rs 407 crores in February, 2013 but the AAP government has spent Rs 450 crore on it and still balance works like horticulture, rain harvesting and rain water pipe pending.

Mishra after inaugurating the flyover said said that this government has made a loss of Rs 43 crore. "But Arvind Kejriwal blatantly lies that he has saved crores of rupees in the construction of this flyover. The truth is the Congress government had sanctioned Rs 560 crore in June 2012 for this flyover. In Decemeber, 2012, Rs 464 crore was taken as the estimated cost. In February, 2013, after competitive tendering Rs 407 crore was fixed as the cost of the project and sanctioned by the government. But shamelessly, the Kejriwal government spread the word that they have saved Rs 110 crore; calculation falsely based on the sanctioned amount of Rs 560 crore in June 2012, rather than the competitively tendered amount of Rs 407 crore," he alleged.

Despite the former MP inaugurating the flyover, AAP government said that Kejriwal will inaugurate the flyover on Sunday and expose the Congress activities.
