NEW DELHI: Upset with his wife’s suicide, a 28-year-old man killed himself in East Delhi’s Shahdara area. According to the police, deceased has been identified as Vijay, whose body was found hanging at his home on Saturday. Cops have also recovered a suicide note which says that he was depressed after his wife Geeta’s Death.

A suicide note which was written in Hindi also says that Vijay could not withstand what his one-year-old son was going through after his mother's death. "He wrote that at this age when his son needs the mother the most, she has left him. He also wrote about the circumstances which forced him to committee suicide," said a senior police officer.

The incident came up when one of the family members of the deceased went to his room and found him hanging with a chunni. Later a PCR call was made and when cops reached to the spot, found the suicide note lying on the floor.

Geeta (25) had allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself on March 22. However, the family members couldn't share any apparent reason for her taking the extreme step. “During an initial investigation, we have not found any evidence hinting that couple had a bitter relationship. Family members and neighbours claimed that there was no issue between them,” official said.
