Lokayukta raps sacked AAP minister Kapil Mishra's counsel

After his sacking from the Delhi cabinet, Mishra had leveled serious allegations against Jain and Kejriwal in the past and even given complaints to the anti-corruption branch.

NEW DELHI: The Lokayukta on Friday reprimanded the lawyer of expelled AAP leader and former water minister Kapil Mishra for not keeping the documents in order.

While hearing the case Justice Reva Khetarpal said, "None of the documents had been attested. It is shocking. Neither there is compliance with the last order. The 16,000 sheets of paper were just thrown in the registry."

Justice Khetarpal also said, "There is no date, no index, no pagination of the documents. But labels are like 'Hawala at Midnight'."

Shahid Ali, appearing on behalf of Mishra, sought two weeks' time for submitting the documents. The next date of hearing is on August 24.

After his sacking from the Delhi cabinet, Mishra had leveled serious allegations against Jain and Kejriwal in the past and even given complaints to the anti –corruption branch. The former water minister had asked the AAP to put the details of foreign trip undertaken by various AAP leaders like Sanjay Singh and Saurabh Bhardwaj.

Mishra allegedly handed over a set of around 16,000 pages worth of evidences to the forum in various different bundles regarding party fund, role of AAP’s national convener in alleged Hawala transactions and Benami property details about PWD minister Satyendra Jain to the court.
