Delhi University admissions come to a standstill

The UG help desk which is run by the volunteers has been set up by the varsity to help the admission related grievance of the students.

NEW DELHI: Making a large number of students stand in a limbo, Delhi University’s admission help desk for undergraduate students has came to standstill due to conflict between the varsity administration and student leaders.

On Thursday a member of varsity student union and Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarti Parishad (ABVP) has came to the grievance redressal with some admission issues where he allegedly misbehaved and abused the staff of the grievance committee. Because of which the administration has closed the help desk for a day.

However, it was the common students who were left clueless rather choosing to return back to the their home who came from very far such as Nepal, Jharkhand, UP to seek guidance from the admission help desk.

“I have cleared the entrance examination and came here in the morning to take know about the process about how to take admission in the colleges. But there is no members in the help desk to help in the matter” said Pragati Perselia who came from Nepal to take admission in Delhi university.

The UG help desk which is run by the volunteers has been set up by the varsity to help the admission related grievance of the students.

The admission under the fourth cut off list will continue till mid noon on 12 July. The closing of the help desk for has put the students in a trouble more.
