Delhi BJP to remove office bearers if they miss three consecutive meetings

Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari on Sunday said that office bearers who will miss three consecutive meetings without a valid reason would be removed from the post.

NEW DELHI: In an attempt to revive all departments and strengthen the party's state unit, Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari on Sunday said that office bearers who will miss three consecutive meetings without a valid reason would be removed from the post.

“Those office bearers who are found to be absent in three consecutive Monday meetings would be removed from the post. This rule applies to everyone, including me,” Tiwari said and added that attendance registers would be maintained to keep a check on those leaders giving the meeting a miss.

“Registers will be checked regularly and the rule will be strictly imposed,” he said. The Delhi BJP chief chairs meetings of state unit office bearers and other departments every Monday.

Numerous complaints about office bearers not attending the meetings regularly has prompted Tiwari to take this decision.

“Tasks, which play a key role in connecting with different sections of society, are assigned to all departments and cells during the meetings, which make them very important,” the Delhi BJP chief said. The Delhi unit of the saffron party has 19 departments and 12 cells.
