ISI agent arrested for blackmailing a woman Colonel of Indian Army

NEW DELHI: Just after 24 hours Delhi Police arrested a suspect of Al Qaeda, cops have arrested an alleged agent of Pakistani Intelligence agency ISI who was blackmailing a woman Colonel of Indian Army. According to the police, accused identified as Mohammad Parvez had sent morphed obscene images of the female officer to her daughter and threatening her to share it on internet if she refused to provide him defence information.

The accused has been arrested from North Delhi’s Chandi Mahal area. “Accused has been Identified as Mohammad Parvez. He was in touch with a Pakistan based ISI agent. His job was to collect information about India’s crucial defence strategies,” Delhi police said.

A case has been registered against Parvez under IPC sections 123 for concealing with intent to facilitate design to wage war and IT Act’s for publishing or transmitting obscene material in electronic form apart from other sections of IPC.

Complainant told the police that she had been getting calls from two unknown numbers and messages from a Facebook profile on the name of one Ikta Sharma.

“The complainant told police that she is getting frequent vulgar text messages and morphed pictures of her from two unidentified numbers and a Facebook ID of Ikta since last month. She was also threatened that if she did not entertain, and tries to disconnect, her pictures would be uploaded on internet,” said a senior police officer, adding that when the woman blocked the numbers, her daughter was contacted.

Police claimed that it was during questioning that Parvez revealed that he is an ISI agent and had been tasked with gathering confidential information about India’s strategic defence deployment from the Colonel. The accused is also suspected to have already supplied some secret information pertaining to country’s security to the Pakistani agency, the officer said. “Three of his aides have also been identified who are still on the run and frequent raids are being made to nab them,” the officer added.
