NEW DELHI: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday said that Lieutenant governor Anil Baijal is not following the Supreme Court order with the appointment of the director of education department in Delhi government without consultation of the government.

This comes after the government has moved the Supreme Court once again, seeking clarification on the reserved subjects like services, which are yet to be heard by a separate bench.

"Considering the apex court's order, what the LG did by appointing Director, Education is illegal. LG is doing Dadagiri (high handedness) with us. First, you do not let the elected government appoint a person for a very important post, which was lying vacant for around 10 days, now when you do, you don't consult us. This is a violation of the Supreme Court's order. The elected government spends 26 per cent on education but Baijal did not even bother to talk to us," Sisodia said.

Earlier last week the apex court announced its verdict on the power-sharing calculus in the national capital. According to the order, land, police and public order are the three wings where Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal has the executive powers to take decision, in all the others elected government has the powers.

But the decision on the Ministry of Home Affairs notification of 2015 is yet to be announced as the case is still pending with a separate bench, till then L-G Baijal has the executive powers to decide on transfer and posting of the government official.

"L-G is continuing with defying the Supreme Court orders, the court also observed that there should be communication with the elected government, which LG is not doing" added Sisodia.

Meanwhile, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal water treatment plant of Delhi Jal Board. The government also announced that Singapore model of water treatment would be adopted by Delhi.

The DJB would also hire a consultant to chalk out plan for recycling water from 36 Sewage Treatment Plants in Delhi which would have the capacity to produce around 200 Million Gallon per day of additional water.

In another water related project, the government has proposed to revive 200 natural water bodies to improve the ground water levels across the city.
