All set for 1st anniversary fete of SV BC

TIRUPATI: All arrangements have been made for the first anniversary celebrations of Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel (SVBC) of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams at Mahati Auditorium on July 10.

According to channel’s chief operating officer C J Reddy, the channel was launched on July 7, 2008 by President Pratibha Patil. For the past one year, the channel has grown in popularity, by telecasting daily rituals and special rituals at the famous Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirumala.

It has also been telecasting the programmes of TTD-run temples and others under the Endowments department.

The Channel, in tune with its primary objective of propagating Bhakti Bhava (devotional attitude), Venkateswara Mahathyam, ancient Hindu traditions and customs, has been telecasting various programmes including tele-serials and reality shows. TTD chairman D K Audikesavulu Naidu will be the chief guest while TTD Executive Officer I Y R Krishna Rao will be the guest of honour. Cultural programmes including musical concert by Malladi Brothers, Mohiniattam dance recital by Gopika Verma and Veena recital by Duddu Seetaramaiah are all set to enliven the evening of July 10.
