A Goa-based brand promises to plaster your walls with an element of quirk

A line-up of super heroes with Rajnikanth at the forefront, A Clockwork Orange-esque rendition of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and a stylised profile of cult character Sherlock Holmes, could be hanging on your wall now, thanks to recently launched poster brand, Imposters. The Goa-based brand, just over a month old, is a venture of a group of designers that also founded Beard Design and PPT Salon. “The other two being consultancy services, Imposters is the fun venture of the three. While setting up our office last year, we wanted fun posters on the walls, but other than the regular merchandise-oriented posters, we couldn’t find anything we liked. And since we’re all designers, we created our own minimalistic posters,” explains Abhisek Sarda, founder, Imposters. And thus, the funky brand was born.

The posters, all available in a standard A3 format, are quirky and as Sarda puts it, “Caters to a niche market. Just because we get a lot of requests it doesn’t mean we’ll go ahead and create them. We only design things we know we’d like on our own walls.”  One of the most popular prints is a geometric one of Rabindranath Tagore (one of Sarda’s personal favourites), while others like ‘Lady Baga’ should be sure to add a burst of colour to your room. And in the pipeline?

“We plan to bring out about two new prints a week. Plus, we’re also looking at providing customers with the option of a framed print,” he tells us.
