Engineering spot admissions from November 5 to 20

In order to facilitate admissions to nearly 1.06 lakh vacant seats after two rounds of EAMCET counselling for MPC, the admissions committee decided on Friday to allow spot-admissions by college managements between November 5 and 20.

The managements have to submit a ‘spot-admissions list’ to the EAMCET convenor before November 20 for ratification of admissions under this category.

Similar procedure will be applied to fill vacancies in MBA and MCA colleges after conclusion of the second round of ICET counselling.

In line of the engineering colleges, the MBA/MCA colleges will be required to complete procedure for spot-admissions by November 20.

To ensure transparency and to dissuade college managements from collecting capitation fee, colleges have been directed to display the list of vacancies.

Details of engineering colleges will be displayed on http://apeamcet.nic. in by November 5 while vacancies for MBA and MCA courses will be displayed at http://apicet.nic.in by November 10.

Further, colleges which have registered an intake below 10 for the first year of engineering will be allowed to transfer students to other institutes.

The transfer will be duly verified by the convenor, require a no objection certificate (NOC) from both the institutes and representations from candidates requesting the transfer.

For engineering students, the last date for cancellation of allotments is November 2, which is to be processed at helpline centres.

After this, the candidates will have to approach the college managements directly to get their admissions cancelled in order to collect their certificates by November 5.
