To exchange views on scientific advancements and to evolve strategies for the development of Osmania Medical College, the college alumni association is organising a global meet and reunion of its alumni on December 7 and 8.
There will be scientific discussions, guest lectures by outstanding alumni and inauguration of a mini-auditorium on the college premises, says a press release.
Besides, a health walk from Osmania Medical College at Koti to Osmania General Hospital at Afzalgunj will be organised. Cultural and sports events will also mark the occasion.
The 167-year-old Osmania Medical College is one of the oldest medical colleges in the country and holds the record of using chloroform as anaesthesia for the first time in the world in 1888 and hailed by popular medical journal, Lancet, published from the United Kingdom.
