The Task Force police on Wednesday arrested a notorious 32-year-old history-sheeter for possessing lethal weapons illegally. Police also seized three daggers from his possession.

The arrested person has been identified as Shaik Sultan, a car driver, resident of Tappachabutra. He is a history-sheeter of the Tappachabutra police station.

Shaik was involved in 11 criminal cases including two cases of murder, three cases of attempt to murder, five cases of Arms Act and one case of snatching.

In 2012, he was arrested by Kulsumpura police and sent to jail. On being released, he purchased three daggers from Bidar in Karnataka and was moving with the deadly weapons to create panic among the public.

He was handed over to Tappachabutra police along with the seized weapons for necessary action.
