With the Rayala Telangana proposal coming to the fore, the Secretariat on Wednesday once again witnessed agitations by both Seemandhra and Telangana employees. Both of the them took out rallies opposing the Rayala-Telangana proposal.

A large number of Telangana employees under the leadership of M Narender Rao took out a rally in the Secretariat on Wednesday and staged a dharna before the C Block. They opposed including two Rayalaseema districts in the proposed Telangana state.

Narendra Rao said the cultures of Telangana and Rayalaseema were different and the CWC should honour its decision to create Telangana state, he demanded.

Meanwhile, Seemandhra Secretariat Employees Forum under the leadership of it president U Murali Krishna took out a separate rally. “The Centre was enacting dramas and coming out with different proposals on the division of the state,” Murali Krishna alleged.

Meanwhile, Secretariat employees belonging to Rayalaseema districts met and resolved to oppose any move to divide Rayalaseema. ‘’We will not accept to include two Rayalaseema districts with Telangana,” Venkatrami Reddy, an employee of the Secretariat said.
