The state government has extended a warm welcome to President Pranab Mukherji on Thursday evening at the Air Force Station, Hakimpet.
The President arrived from New Delhi by an Indian Air Force Special plane ‘Rajkamal’ on his Southern sojourn in the state lasting till December 31.
The President was received at the Air force station by governor ESL Narasimhan, chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, deputy chief minister C Damodar Rajanarsimha, Council chairman A.Chakrapani, Mayor Md.Majid Hussain among others.
During his sojourn the President will visit Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram on Friday. The President will leave for Delhi on Dec 31 at 10.55 a.m.
