Nalgonda Girl Burnt by Lover Dies

The 21-year-old B.Tech final year student, who was set afire by a person in Nalgonda a few days ago, died here on Sunday while undergoing treatment for serious burn injuries.

The victim, Talari Aruna, was a native of Kurampalli village of Kangal mandal in Nalonda district.

According to police, she was in love with with Nakerkanti Saidulu, a former vice-sarpanch of Dhareshpuram village of Kanagal mandal.

The victim and Saidulu used to meet in Nalgonda where she was pursuing B.Tech in a private college.

On the fateful day, angered at Aruna not visiting his office, Saidulu poured kerosene and set her ablaze. Later, the accused and his friends admitted her to a hospital and fled.

As her condition was serious, she was shifted to the city, where she died while undergoing treatment.
