Even after 48 hours after the engineer B Ankama Rao was kidnapped in Assam on Sunday, the Assam police is yet to achieve a breakthrough in the case. With kidnappers not stating any demands till now, the police is finding it tough to find a lead.

As various rebel groups are existing in Assam it cannot be said with certainty which group kidnapped the engineer.

TR Tegu, additional SP of Chirang district in Assam, said they intensified the search operations on Tuesday. ‘’We are not ruling out any possibility,’’ Tegu said.

On Sunday, the engineer was travelling to the work site of the company at River Aie,  in Chirang district accompanied by three supervisors when he was kidnapped. Why only the engineer and not others were kidnapped remains a pivotal question.
