Notification for PGECET counselling soon

The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) will issue notification for counselling of post-graduate engineering common entrance test (PGECET) soon.

The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) will issue notification for counselling of post-graduate engineering common entrance test (PGECET) soon.

The PGECET, a common entrance test for filling M.Tech, ME, M Pharmacy and M.Arch seats in the state, was conducted by the Osmania University this year on  behalf of the APSCHE between May 22 and 25.

Interacting with newsmen here on Wednesday, APSCHE chairman, Prof P Jayapraksh Rao said that the Andhra Pradesh Fee Regulatory Committee (AFRC) is busy finalising the revised fee structure for PG professional courses in the state for next three academic years (2013-14 to 2015-2016).

Once the process is completed, he said, they would issue a GO on the new fee structure and also a notification for counselling.

Earlier, the APSCHE used to conduct the counselling for PG courses after Eamcet  counselling, but now they have decided to conduct it before Eamcet counselling as it is being delayed due to a court case. However, the APSCHE chairman said that this time PGECET counselling would be held in 10 centres across the state separately which was hitherto used to be held at Eamcet counselling centres only.

“The PGECET counselling should not clash with Eamcet counselling,’’ he said.
