Film operator among 4 dead in car mishap

Four persons, including projectionist of a film theatre, died on the spot and three others hospitalised with serious injuries after their vehicle hit an electrical pole and fell into a ditch at Bongaluru village in the wee hours of Thursday.

Police said the seven, all workers of Indra Nagendra film theatre located at Karmanghat, were travelling in an alto car, when the driver lost control of steering.

Sridhar Reddy, the operator, Dhanraj, Narsimha and Nagendra died on the spot while Ramu, Sai and Srinu were hospitalised. Their condition is stable. “Around 1.30 am, the seven were travelling to Ibrahimpatnam from Karmanghat. As their car reached Bongaluru, Sridhar lost control and hit a iron pole,” police said.
