Complaint against two actresses

A complaint was filed in a local court on Monday against film actresses Anushka Shetty and Priyamani, seeking action against them for exposure and obscenity in films.

In his complaint filed in the Malkajgiri court, L Subuddi, an advocate from Mangalhat, said atrocities on women, including the recent Delhi rape, by uncivilised men were the result of unchecked illegal activities called obscenity of certain group of people who do not have any responsibility towards society. Having seen content of material on the Internet at his friend’s house at Malkajgiri, Subuddi filed the complaint through his counsel M Srinivas Yadav.

The petitioner sought the court’s directive to the Malkajgiri police to register cases under Sections 120-B, 292, 420 of IPC and Sections 3 & 6 of The Indecent Representation of Women (prohibition) Act, 1986, AP Prevention of Disfigurement of Open Places and Prohibition of Obscene and Objectionable and Advertisements Act, 1997, Sec 67 of Information Technology Act 2000.
