Hoax calls continued to send the police into a tizzy, as, for the second consecutive day on Saturday, miscreants called the police control room and claimed that a bomb planted at CMR engineering college in Medchal would blow up anytime. Cops then rushed to the spot along with sniffer dogs and bomb disposal teams at around 10.30 am, and thoroughly searched the campus. When they did not find any explosive, they declared the call a hoax one.
On Friday, some miscreants made a similar call to the cops, stating that a bomb was planted in the college, which also turned out to be a hoax.
Sources said the miscreant made such calls from a public booth. A special team was formed to nab the accused.
