Minor sexually assaulted; Woman abducted, raped

A minor girl has been sexually assaulted in Chatrinaka police limits while an 18-year-old working woman was abducted and raped in Jeedimetla police limits in the city.

A 13-year-old girl, who went to her neighbour’s housef Parvatinagar in Uppuguda in Chatrinaka police limits to watch TV, was assaulted sexually by Dharmender Kumar Singh (30). The incident, which took place around 8.30 pm on March 9, came to light on Monday when the girl’s parents lodged a police complaint. Her father, Mohammed Afzal, is a centering worker, according to Chatrinaka police inspector N Lakshminarayana.

The girl, who has high fever and is unable to walk, has been sent to the Osmania General Hospital for medical examination. Police registered a case against Singh.

In the other incident, Mukthar alias Munnu, a history-sheeter at the Jeedimetla police station, kidnapped an 18-year-old working woman from her office, took her forcibly his room and sexually assaulted her. 

Jeedimetla police inspector M Sudarshan said that the woman had just finished her work and was about to leave her office around 11.30 pm on Sunday when Munna   kidnapped her, took her to his room at Srinagar Colony in Jeedimetla police limits and assaulted her sexually.

The woman lodged a police complaint on Monday.
