In what could be seen as further embarrassment to suspended IAS officer Y Srilakshmi, the CBI said on Wednesday that it was probing her “involvement in other cases”. It, however, did not spell out what the other cases were.
The CBI made this comment during the arguments over the extension of the bail petition filed by her who was an accused in the case relating to illegal mining of iron ore by Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC). Srilakshmi was released from jail on bail on health grounds.
Srilakshmi’s interim bail ends on Mar 20 and her counsel filed a petition recently seeking extension of the bail till the disposal of the case.
