The Crime Investigation Department police on Friday took an elderly couple into custody, whose son, Anil, has been accused of duping four women in the name of marriage.
According to police, a team comprising five officials led by CID Inspector Sridhar, raided Anil’s house at Alwal. Later, they took his parents into custody. Anil stays in the USA.
Recently, Sunitha Singh, Anil’s third wife, approached the CID and lodged a complaint stating that Anil had duped her in the name of marriage. After getting married to Singh, Anil left for the USA, stating that he had to go on official work. Once in the US, he married for the fourth time. Based on the complaint, the CID police registered a case and investigation is on.
