Food can perhaps be the best medicine many a time. Be it a horrible day at work or just some low phase, just the thought of your favourite food will for sure lighten your spirits. And if your mom is cooking it, one cannot ask for anything better. But, away from home, you will have to put in all the effort and if not cook the exact same dish, atleast recreate it to an extent. Strawberry milkshake with ice-cream

On a really lazy Saturday summer afternoon, when your favourite movie in playing on the television set, ever wondered if all that was missing was a healthy and a chilled milkshake to go with? Well, here’s your easy to make recipe for strawberry milkshake with ice-cream


1 cup fresh strawberries

4 cups milk

Sugar to taste

Ice -cubes

Vanilla ice-cream


Wash strawberries properly and remove the stems.

Blend strawberries and little milk together in a blender or a mixer until crushed properly into a smooth paste.

Add the remaining milk, sugar and crushed ice.

Blend again for another 30 seconds or so.

Served chilled in glasses with an ice-cream topping.


*If strawberries are not available, strawberry essence can be used

*You can try the same with other fruits like banana, chiku, grapes and other

*You can also make a chocolate milkshake by just adding chocolate bars instead offruits
