The Begumpet police on Sunday raided Bottles and Chimney pub and issued a challan to the management for running it beyond 12.15 am.

Police said as part of regular checks, two policemen noticed the pub open.

Even after cops directed the management to shut the pub, they still allowed customers inside for drinks.

Begumpet inspector Y Narsimha Reddy said at around 12.30 am Sunday, the police found many youngsters dancing.

“Following the twin blasts, cops have intensified regular checks at all major junctions and localities as precautionary measures. They also counselled customers not to spend their time inside the pubs after the stipulated time,” the inspector said.
