Fake notes worth Rs 2 lakh seized, 3 held

The Task Force police arrested three persons including a woman for possessing fake currency notes in the denomination of Rs 1,000 and Rs 500. Police seized the fake notes valued at Rs 2 lakh. The arrested include -- Macherla Subhashini, 45, resident of Sanath Nagar, Kamuni Bhaskar, 46, realtor and resident of Mahabubabad,  and Bandaru Venkanna, 30, of Kurmarthi in Nalgonda district.

On a tip-off, the sleuths arrested the three who got down from a train at Secunderabad railway station, along with the fake notes.

They went to West Bengal and exchanged the original notes worth Rs 1 lakh with fake notes for Rs 2 lakh from one Muzaffar, a native of Parakah in West Bengal.
