An employee of Infosys jumped to death from the 19th floor of a building in Kukatpally on Wednesday.

An employee of Infosys jumped to death from the 19th floor of a building in Kukatpally on Wednesday. Although he left a suicide note saying that no one was responsible for his death, his wife told police that he took the drastic step due to depression and financial troubles.

The deceased, Shailender Neemkar, jumped off the same building in which he had  purchased a flat recently.  According to Kukatpally inspector Chandrakanth, Shailender left his house on Wednesday morning at about 10 a.m., and went to Rainbow Vista, the building in the Cyber City township situated in Kukatpally, where he had recently purchased a flat on the eighth floor of the G block.

While it was not clearly known at what time he jumped off the building, the inspector said that it must have been between 11 a.m. and 12 noon.

Shailender left a suicide note in which he stated that no one was responsible for his death. The letter also said, ‘I love you all. I am leaving everyone behind’, police said quoting the letter.

While the police are yet to ascertain the reason, his wife says that depression may have driven him to commit suicide, as is also mirrored by the police.

“He also got the flat registered in his name recently and informed that he was going out for some work. Shailender had been working at Infosys since the last six months,” police said. The deceased had also  worked in the US and had gone there twice in the past on official work. He is survived by his wife Reena and twins Rithika and Rithik, who are aged four years.

Shailender hails from Hyderabad and was a resident of Sikh Village, where he lived with his family.

The police stated that there was no eyewitness who saw him go up the 19th floor. A case has been registered under Section 174 of the CRPC for unnatural death.
