High Court to get two more judges

The Union ministry of law has sought the consent of two advocates of the Andhra Pradesh High Court to appoint them as judges of the High Court.

The two, D.Seshadri Naidu and A.Ramalingeswara Rao, gave their consent to the registry of the High Court on Thursday which will be forwarded to the law ministry.

Earlier, the collegium had recommended their names for appointment as judges of the High Court.

Seshadri Naidu hails from Chittoor district and Ramalingeswara Rao from Tanuku in West Godavari district.

It is learnt that the law ministry will send the file concerned to the prime minister’s office, from where it will be forwarded to the President for approval.

After the President gives his nod, the law ministry will issue a notification making the appointments.
