30 New Mee Seva Centres Soon

As many as new 30 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) formed between 2011-2013 will have new urban Mee Seva centres to cater to  the needs of citizens in 30 municipalities by increasing more services.

As many as new 30 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) formed between 2011-2013 will have new urban Mee Seva centres to cater to  the needs of citizens in 30 municipalities by increasing more services.

The Andhra Pradesh Municipal Development Project (APMDP) gave its nod for setting up of urban mee seva centres. The APMDP instructed the director of Electronic Service Delivery (ESD), Mee seva to take necessary action to establish new urban mee seva centres in the newly-formed municipalities as the existing centres are not sufficient to meet the requirement of people in the 30 ULBs.

Commissioner and director of CDMA B Janardhan Reddy few days ago wrote letters to the 30 municipal commissioners of the newly-formed municipalities requesting them to identify suitable sites which should be encumbrance free and under the control of the respective municipality.

CDMA officials told Express that they have been asked to prepare estimate for construction of Mee Seva Centres with an estimated cost of Rs 20 lakh and obtain Council resolution at the earliest. After furnishing the proposals along with estimates and council resolution they should send the same to CDMA office for taking further necessary action.

The 30 urban mee seva centres that are proposed in the recently formed municipalities include Pedda Amberpet and Badangmet in Rangareddy district, Kodada, Huzurnagar in Nalgonda district, Gajwel in Medak district, Shadnagar and Jadcherla in Mahbubnagar district all falling in Hyderabad region. Narasampet and Mahabubabad in Warangal district, Jammikunta, Peddapalli and Huzurabad in Karimnagar district all falling in Warangal region.

Narsipatnam and Yellamanchali in Visakhapatnam district, Palakonda in Srikakulam district all falling in Visakhapatnam Region. Yellaswaram in East Godavari district, Jangareddygudem in West Godavari district. Vuyyuru and Nandigama in Krishna district, Addanki Giddaluru and Kanigiri in Prakasam district, Sullurpet and Naidupet in Nellore district all falling in Rajahmundry region.

Gooty and Kalyandurg in Anantapur district, Atmakur, Nandikotkur and Allagadda in Kurnool district, Mydukur in Kadapa district all falling Anantapur region.
